Duplex Meterhead Service Project

This project showcases a new construction overhead service installation for a duplex residential property. The building includes two main units and two secondary legal suites, making it a multi-unit setup that required careful planning to meet both utility and residential power demands.

The service was designed with a total of 400 amps coming in from the utility, providing 200 amps per unit to support the electrical needs of each residence. A detached garage was also included in the scope, with provisions for EV chargers and a sub panel installed to supply additional power to that structure.
As part of the installation, our team used auger truck services to install an additional utility pole. The pole was set 6 feet into the ground and extended 25 feet above ground to meet hydro guidelines for overhead service clearance and safety.

This type of project requires precision, coordination, and a strong understanding of residential service design to ensure the system is safe, code-compliant, and ready to support modern electrical loads.
